Full Time/Permanent
The Rural Municipality of Cote #271 is looking for a qualified candidate to take over the role of administration. The position will be full time permanent, working with the current administrator, until retirement in August 2026.
This position would begin immediately, in order to prepare the successful candidate for a seamless transition into an independent role. Candidates with a Rural “C” or “A” Certificate, and who are independently motivated are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out any and all tasks as set out by the Ministry in The Municipalities Act, S.S. 2005, c. M-36.1, s. 111: Duties of administrator.
Work independently under the direction of the council.
Complete tasks as directed by council, as legislated by the Ministry in an efficient and timely manner.
Uphold the bylaws and policies of the rural municipality.
Safely keep all books, documents, and records of the municipality.
Collaborate with the foreman to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
Conduct themselves in a manner which will enhance the integrity, dignity, and honour of the municipality.
Qualifications
Rural “C” Class certificate required, although a Rural “A” Class is an asset.
Excellent communication, time management, and public relations skills.
Current criminal record check.
Competitive wages will be offered, based on past experience and qualifications, and the RMAA suggested salary schedule. Education opportunities will be offered and required on an annual basis, including an annual review.

Full Time/Permanent
The Rural Municipality of Cote #271 is looking for a skilled and motivated individual to work on our municipal maintenance team. Candidates with experience operating a grader, tractor, mower, chain saw, etc. are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Work independently under the direction of the Foreman.
Work under extreme and changing climate conditions
Able and willing to work long hours, in physically demanding conditions, and perform physical labour and heavy lifting.
Operate the grader, with numerous attachments.
Operate the tractor, with numerous implements.
Complete daily routine maintenance checks and troubleshoot basic mechanical issues on equipment.
Complete log books and timesheets accurately.
Mowing, rock picking, removal of fallen trees, sign repair, sign installation, shop maintenance, etc.
Qualifications
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Class 5 driver’s license is required, any level above is an asset.
Appropriate PME (Power Mobile Equipment) training.
Current criminal record check.
